Message Having a very modded car doesn't really affect much. It's driving conditions and the specific use of the car that determine if the cooling system is adequate.

For instance, if you just idle around in traffic and get into boost rarely, then stock equipment is probably fine. If, however, you drive everyday on the autobahn under boost for long stretches I think you would find that the stock equipment ain't gonna cut it.

For endurance-type racing the stock equipment is inadequate, and, though I haven't tested it myself, I would bet that a FMIC would be a detriment to cooling.

The decision depends upon the intended use of the car....
